Sante Tucson is seeking to hire a Director of Rehabilitation Services (DOR). The Director is responsible for day-to-day management of the activities of the Therapy Department to ensure proper utilization of available resources and continuous quality improvement. The Director of Rehab oversees the development of the Therapy Department, the coordination of therapy services and the integration with other departments.
The Sante of Tucson transitional rehabilitation center is a two-story, 68,000-square-foot building with 103 patient beds. We offer hotel style accommodations, full service dining in our restaurant, meditation garden, salon and state-of-the art rehab facilities. Our property is in close proximity to Tucson Medical Center, St. Josephs Hospital and surrounding medical districts.
Directs the therapy staff in the evaluation and treatment of guests.
Assists with implementation of new policies and procedures, program development and
monitoring of compliance.
Provides an excellent learning atmosphere for staff including clinical education programs for professional programs to enhance recruitment and retention.
Assists in the establishment of the departments operating and capital budgets to assure
adequate resources for professional development and departmental enhancement.
Recruitment and retention of high quality personnel consistent with job requirements.
Responsible for the departments Quality Improvement Program.
Interacts with guests and family members as appropriate to maintain guest relations consistent with Sante policy.
Assists with departmental efforts for marketing in areas of interest.
Provides guest care as required within the scope of own therapy discipline.
Assists in planning, coordinating, and conducting continuing education programs and special in-service training sessions relevant to the needs of department personnel; ensures staff attendance.
Ensures that employees are adequately oriented and trained to perform their duties.
Reviews employee performance annually and makes recommendations for pay increases, promotions or performance improvement plans as deemed appropriate.
Coordinates work of department with work of other departments.
Attends and participates in staff meetings, department head meetings, and other center meetings and sits on required committees.
Assists in developing and updating departmental procedures and policies.
Attends and participates in scheduled in-service training, educational classes and meetings to maintain current certification as applicable and as managed by regulatory agencies and company policies.
Participates in QAA program.
Three (3) years clinical experience as a practicing Therapist required.
Related management/supervisory experience required.
Minimum Bachelor, Masters, or Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
Masters Degree or Doctorate preferred
Current AZ state licensure required
Currently licensed as Rehabilitative Specialist
