Job Description

Santé Mesa is hiring a full-time, double weekend RN Charge Nurse. Shift is Friday-2p-10p, Sat/Sun 6am-10p. RN experience in skilled nursing/long-term care, supervisory skills, strong clinical knowledge and leadership, able to direct staff and facilitate training.

    The Charge Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process, leadership skills and current evidence based clinical knowledge to assess the health needs of guests, collaborates with health team members to coordinate guest care, anticipates outcomes of nursing interventions, and sets criteria for the quality of guest care. He/she provides guest and associate education, clinical supervision, and participates in unit-based activities (quality assessment, shared governance, scheduling, quality review, staff development in-services, etc.). Additionally, the Nurse accepts responsibility and accountability for ethical/legal functioning, provides supervision for associates as charge nurse, and assumes increasing leadership responsibility for professional practice within the nursing division.

    • Must currently hold, or be able to obtain by date of hire, RN licensure through the Arizona State Board of Nursing or compact license.
    • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in skilled nursing/long-term care setting.
    • Minimum of one (1) year supervisory RN experience. Must have charge nurse experience.
    • Experience with an electronic medical record software, such as Point Click Care (PCC) preferred.
