Sante Chandler is hiring a HR/Business Office Coordinator. The HR/Business Office Coordinator oversees and administers all human resources and minor accounting functions for the property. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in human resource in a skilled nursing/long-term care environment with a payroll and finance processing background. Process new hire paperwork, complete pre-hire screening (drug, I-9, background, professional license verification.). Clear new associates for hire - Fingerprint Clearance, TB Clearance, Hep-B, etc.
Coordinate and facilitate new associate orientation, and facilitate 1:1, off-cycle regulatory orientations as needed.
Process semi-monthly payroll via Paychex. Enters and reconciles missing timekeeping punches for staff. Update payroll records; resolve payroll discrepancies.
Input associate personnel and position change data into HR Online
Act as primary HR contact for information on Sante policies and procedures (legal guidelines, EEOC, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.)
Compile and complete regulatory reporting.
Collect/ Review/Process benefit applications. Maintain benefit packets for new hires, and assist with facilitating open enrollment.
Manage Business Office Assistant (if assigned) and Receptionist staff. Provide back-up coverage to the front reception Concierge, as needed.
Administer and track employee leave requests (FMLA/Disability/etc.)
Work with the external vendors on claims and documentation as needed.
Review and maintain workplace injury records and facilitate the Workers Compensation process.
Initiate COBRA process & notify the external benefit administrators of applicable changes
Serves as liaison between the property and the centralized A/P and A/R departments.
Process all A/P and A/R transactions daily.
Reconcile and distribute petty cash; Maintain Debit Card tracking; Deposit and scan checks. Receive and verify daily deposits from the culinary department.
Retrieve A/P invoices and solicits signature/approval from department directors. Forward approved invoices to centralized A/P department for processing.
Provide transaction information for AP to post debit payments
Minimum of three (3) years experience in human resources including payroll processing in a SNF/LTC/Rehab or other 24/7 healthcare environment required.
Experience in employee relations, conducting investigations, benefits administration, orientation/on-boarding, and regulatory reporting.
Experience with external payroll processing (Paychex), A/P, A/R and accounting.
High School graduate or GED equivalent
SPHR/PHR certification through SHRM desirable.
Must have strong relationship building and communication skills in both verbal and written format.
