Sante of Tucson is seeking Physical Therapist Assistants-PTAs (PRN).
The Sante of Tucson transitional rehabilitation center is a two-story, 68,000-square-foot building with 103 patient beds. We offer hotel style accommodations, full service dining in our restaurant, meditation garden, salon and state-of-the art rehab facilities. Our property is in close proximity to Tucson Medical Center, St. Josephs Hospital and surrounding medical districts.
Sante is a moderate sized, growing healthcare management company with five properties in Arizona providing Acute Care/Transitional Rehabilitation plus Home Health and Hospice for a continuum of care.
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is responsible for providing Physical Therapy services to guests by assisting in the treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication while functioning under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
Provides Physical Therapy services to guests in a safe and effective manner under the supervision of a Physical Therapist in accordance with state regulations.
Provides treatment in accordance with established standards of practice, department procedures and productivity standards.
Conducts treatments as assigned by the Physical Therapist and outlined in the treatment plan that includes but is not limited to areas of muscle strength, coordination, mobility, sensory awareness, sitting and standing, transfer training, balance activities, gait training, range of motion activities and modalities.
Assists in the selection of Physical Therapy techniques and in the sequence of activities, adapts techniques as indicated by guest performance and following consultation with the Physical Therapist. No major modification to the treatment plan is made without prior consultation with the Physical Therapist.
Monitors guests response to intervention and consults with Physical Therapist if modification is required.
Assists in establishing and modifying individual guest schedules in conjunction with the Physical Therapist and other team members.
Adheres to department and guest schedule and modifies as appropriate for treatment regimen.
Implements and conducts treatment as outlined in treatment plan.
Provides/recommends/fabricates adaptive devices, orthotics or prosthetics. Trains guest, family, and appropriate staff in the use or application of the above.
Documents results of guests assessment, treatment, follow-up, and termination of services.
Adheres to Therapy Department procedures regarding documentation of Physical Therapy services.
Accurately and efficiently utilizes documentation and billing software to record guest treatment, labor and CPT codes according to Sante Operations procedures
